My New Style of Vlogs

Well what might be new to me has already been done by so many on YouTube but trying to give it something different.

I look on different web sites for fun news and zany news and come up with some stories to tell you once a week, which will be a Wednesday unless I cant find anything for Tuesdays Slot then will upload more than one a week.

What I love the most about doin this style is that I am educating myself, normally I would watch the news or read the news then forget about it but this way I am researching and learning more so when I come to tell you the news I dont look so lost, this episode though I look like a lost sheep as I have allot to learn so stick by me if you can and subscribe to my YouTube channel or follow me on here and I will link all I can.

so sit back and try to watch this all the way through.. it can only get better.

What I have learned from Vlogging

Hi there finally I manage to type up this Blog for a change lol. I have been planning this for a few weeks but have been busy panning a new style of vlog, well new to me but others have done the same but better lol..

So about a year ago I started vlogging but only once a week or maybe every few weeks but my confidence was pretty weak so I did struggle allot especially when editing the vlogs, I have always had a keen interest in video editing, I have filmed lots of things before I vlogged I filmed lots of locations when I went on Holiday like Paris and trips out but I was never in the videos, was always the one holding the camera.

what got me interested in Vlogging was when I was put as a Supervisor of the Charity shop in dover for Emmaus, I was doing a daily diary where I would get into work and then video me chatting to my mobile this was only for my keeping so I could look back on how it started and I could see a big improvement in my learning because I was keeping track of the work. this got me thinking more about becoming a Vlogger, the only YouTubers I was following were Olan Rogers and a few gaming vlogs.

I accidentally came across Joe Suggs vlogs from varied random searches on YouTube and I was hooked lol and then found out that his sister was a vlogger Zoella then I started getting hooked on her vlogs and then lol her boyfriend was also a Vlogger Alfie Deyes and I started getting hooked on his vlogs, this then gave me the confidence to go ahead and film myself chatting complete nonsence and uploading and seeing what happens, I think for a few months I was on about 3 subscribers but I never gave up, I changed my style more times that I can think and slowly and i mean slowly I started to get more confident even to the point where I gave Vlogmas 2016 a go and managed to do all 24 days inc xmas day so I was well pleased. Vlogmas was only 6 months ago and since then I have grown with vlogging or should I say Evolved I look back at the Vlogmas I did and I am not really happy with most of it, I could have put more effort into it, the only good thing was the christmas tree lol but this year I plan on doing it all again but allot better.

Back to the title of this vlog, What I have learned from Vlogging….

  1. its a full time job
  2. editing can take more time than filming
  3. having a busy day and filming lots can get confusing when editing
  4. changing the style of vlogging there is more to it than that
  5. you have to have a passion for vlogging or it does not show in your vlogs
  6. every day is different even though the scenery can be the same
  7. very tricky when its just me and no group of mates
  8. trying to please everyone
  9. keeping your subscribers from unsubscribing
  10. social media is a brilliant way to get yourself known
  11. finding other vloggers to collaberate with
  12. the thrill of another famous vlogger answering one of your messages.
  13. theres lots more lol…
  14. BIGGGGEEESSSTTT thing is your confidence and communication skills improve so much that everyone around you notices..
  15. vlogging in public is the scariest thing i have ever done.

If you are one of the bloggers who wants to try vlogging give it a try, one good thing about youtube is that you can upload a video and keep it hidden until you feel confident to make it public.

I hope this Blog has not been to boring for you all. I just wanted to share with you why I vlog and how it can boost confidence.

Thank you for reading this and hope you come back soon, I do leave links here to my Vlogs on YouTube.

Back with a Vlog

Sorry I have been a bit quiet the past few weeks been sorting out my life a little and getting back on track with work etc,.

Hope everyone is well??

I have a new vlog up tonight Thursday 8th June 2017 5pm GMT

THURS 8THJUNE

I have changed my style of Vlogging as well now only Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays I upload vlogs, and have calmed down a bit on recording every day which seemed pointless after awhile because I was deleting most of them and it was overtaking things at work think I was getting addicted to pointing the camera at my face lol.

I hope to produce better quality vlogging in the next few months as I have learned allot and not affraid to point the camera and video at different things and places.

If you can please check out my YouTube channel and like or just watch a few videos and see what you think, I did a 24days of christmas last year which was cool but I was still a beginner.

Tuesdays vlog I was so happy on this day even though at the time I had only gained about 8 Subscribers from being on another vlog.

Wednesday more and more Subscribers joining me which I am so happy about.

Thursday now on 41 Subscribers thats a big jump from me the beginning of the week before i was on the IKS vlog my subscription was at only 18 and now a jump of 23 subscribers, I know this is not much compared to other YouTuber’s but to me its amazing.  This vlog I update you all on the state of the Banksy Picture which has had a few hiccups, More graffiti on it and someone stole a piece of the picture and its on ebay for £3,000 how sad is that.

Friday.. Only just uploaded this to YouTube and within 10mins 2 views which is a shock for one of my vlogs lol. and of course 1 like lol

What makes you happy??

What is it in life that makes us smile when we are feeling so low.

Weather its watching your favourite tv show like Glee, or a movie which makes you chuckle, or even your best friend giving you a hugg we each have our own ways to gain our emotions when it comes to smiling. Depression though is a different kettle of fish, you cant even watch tv or your favourite movie and when it comes to chatting to your best friend and getting a hugg you just want to shut the world out and pretend it will only get worse and there is no end in sight.

When I was going through Depression it was just like that shutting the whole world away, the concept of help didnt even enter my mind. There is lots of help out there Citizes Advice Bureau and the samaritans.

This was going back now 10 yrs and I can look back thinking if only I did this or that then my life would have been on a different path, I might have been pushed up the ladder at Alton Towers as I was gaining lots of respect from the other managers, but we can all look back at a certain point in our lives and say these things. I decided to not look back at what could have been and make the most of how my life is at the moment and I started to feel more positive, I am so greatful for working at Alton Towers for them years 2003 – 2007 and they will always be the best part of my working life and nothing will ever come close to that and I always feel happy looking back at them days without feeling depressed.

Still now in 2017 I struggle some days I tend not to look to far into the future as I get panic attacks and anxiety issues so I mainly look at the day to day but what has helped the most is Vlogging yep putting myself on YouTube for everyone to see is scary and still is but My confidence has grown 1000% in the past year I can face challenges and even though im 47 and not the best looking cookie in the jar lol I am who I am and proud of that, im a nice person, would never hurt anyone because it would upset me more that the person if I did, I was brought up to respect people no matter what, I am not perfect in any way shape or form If you have watched any of my vlogs then you will understand where Im coming from.

I cherish every moment I can film and put onto YouTube even though I do not get many people viewing my vlogs or subscribing its not the point of vlogging its something different and I love doing it, its a good way to express yourself, the true you, the reality of life, sharing what you can and showing you are only Human after all.

Have you evern chatted to someone famous and realise wow they are just normal people, when i was working at Alton Towers I met a few famous people and they were so down to earth just living there lives like anyone else, if they were to vlog there normal lives they they would not be so famous as you would see they are just like you or me, Media can pull the wool over people’s eyes and typecasting people. But at the end of the day they are actors and they have cameras pointing at them just like a vlogger but a vlogger does not have a hollywood script attached to them (well maybe some do).

I am writing this on the spur of the moment, did not plann this what do people say its come from the heart and when you get these moments you have to share because thats when people take notice and appreciate what you have written.

Thank you so much for reading this and please if you can check out my YouTube channel
